Roboadvisors, funds, and wealth managers run the money for you — 1–2.5% a year, often plus another 15–20% of your profits on top. Porteezy is different.
- Only computes and shows the weights — no custody of your assets
- You place the orders in your own brokerage account

Frequently asked
Does Porteezy hold my money?
No. Every asset stays inside your own brokerage account. Porteezy only computes the weights and shows them — you place the orders yourself.
Which optimization algorithm do you use?
Mathematical portfolio optimization on top of a proven optimization engine, plus a multi-layer defensive filter that cuts risk assets and moves into safe assets when the market signals risk.
Do I need a specific brokerage account?
No. Any brokerage works as it is. Porteezy calculates the target weights and the number of shares to buy or sell, and you place the orders yourself in whichever brokerage app you already use.
Will you charge for this later?
Some of it may be. Seeing the monthly asset allocation stays free; working out how many shares to buy and sell may become a paid feature. The management fee is $0 either way — Porteezy never holds your money.
Won't the algorithm go stale and stop working over time?
Porteezy isn't a fixed rule. On the 1st of every month it recomputes weights from scratch on the latest data, so when the market shifts, the allocation shifts with it. It's also tested on stretches of data it never learned from, to check whether an allocation only ever fit the past.
Why not just buy the S&P 500 and hold?
It's a fine plan — if you can actually hold through a −50% crash. Most people sell near the bottom and lose years to the recovery. Porteezy gives up a little return versus the index in exchange for much shallower crashes, which makes holding far easier.
Crashes come without warning.
